Privacy Policy
Last updated:
CalConfirm (“we”, “us”) provides a Chrome extension and service that sends reminder emails to the guests of your meetings. This policy explains what data we handle, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we handle
- Account identity. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account.
- Meeting details. When you enable a reminder on an event, the extension reads that event’s title, start time, and guest email addresses so we can schedule and send the reminder. We store only what’s needed to send it.
- Calendar access (read-only). With your permission
(
calendar.events.readonly), we read the events you’ve scheduled reminders for so we can keep a reminder in sync when you move a meeting and cancel it if the meeting is deleted — so a reminder never goes out for the wrong time or for a meeting that no longer exists. This is read-only: we never create, edit, or delete anything on your calendar. - Gmail sending permission. If you choose to send reminders from
your own Gmail, you grant the
gmail.sendpermission. This lets us send email on your behalf. It does not give us access to read, search, or view any of your existing email or mailbox. - Reminder content. The subject and message you set for your reminders.
How we use it
We use this information solely to provide the service: to schedule your reminders, keep them in sync with any changes to the meeting time, and send them to the guests you select at the time you choose. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Limited Use disclosure
CalConfirm’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the reminder features you request, we do not transfer or sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Storage and security
Data is stored with our infrastructure providers using industry-standard protections. Any Gmail authorization tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to the operation of the service.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your reminders and account data while your account is active. You can disconnect your Google account at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Disconnecting revokes our ability to send on your behalf going forward.
Your choices
You control which meetings get reminders, who receives them, and the message. You can revoke CalConfirm’s access from your Google Account permissions page at any time.
